Best filming location in Granada for Game of Thrones (PART 1)

Granada (and Andalusia in general) running high for the privilege of capturing the movie locations for the next season of Game of Thrones (read HERE), it is time to help the producers and list some places where Lannisters, Starks and others could keep fighting for the Iron Throne.

A meandering paved slope, running from the Paseo de los Tristes to the entrance of the Alhambra. Hidden between the Generalife and the towers of the walls of the Alhambra, this is a perfect place for a gallant encounter, thanks to the Darro running there and the olive trees, OR to a deadly ambush without escape.

The Alhambra is not the only place worth seeing on the Sabika Hill : one has to cast an eye or two upon the gardens of the Carmen de los Martires, with more types of trees and flowers than you can wish for, and a great view of the Vega and of Granada in general.

Somptuous gardens, if a little bit overlooked. Perfect for a conspiracy meeting between Varys and Littlefinger.

Caution : Beware the wild peacocks who strutts along like they own the place. They are more than likely to ruin a scene with their horrid shrieks.

Truly royal. Water in abundance, dense vegetation, great view and barely any of the modern anachronic luxury. What's not to like ?

You can't do more martial and severe than that. Big enough to accomodate a small army, with their horses.

Caution : remember to get rid of the horrible little shop of churros, chips and sodas in the entrance.

This list is not exhaustive... If you have any idea, just add it in the commentary !
